In the age of social media, property reviews have almost established themselves as a literary genre of their own. There was a time when reviews of bars and restaurants were limited to professional critics, but today, any user can leave their opinion on the internet.

This democratization has many advantages, but also drawbacks. Like the fact that the criteria valued by customers and the way in which they are expressed often arouse the stupor of the owners of the establishment itself, as well as the rest of the users on social networks. Therefore, it is common for reviews to go viral, due to their surreal comments and the reactions of the managers of the establishment in question. The most recent to come to the fore has been one where a client complains about her breakfast… and the response is quite a joke.

The Instagram profile @soycamareroo (with 408 thousand followers) regularly collects surprising reviews and well-deserved responses from those responsible for the establishment. On this occasion, the evaluation was about breakfast.

The customer in question rated the establishment with a single star, accompanied by the following message: “Very slow serving, you practically have to make the toast yourself. Today I ordered avocado toast, and I had to assemble it myself like in IKEA. Amazing.” But this is not all, because she added: “People who go to breakfast have little time, and until they bring the things it takes us 30 minutes. Obviously I will not return and I have already made sure that no colleague goes to breakfast,” she concludes.

In this regard, the establishment’s management decided to answer and refute the client’s surprising comments. “Good afternoon Aurora. You arrived at 11:29 and were given toast at 11:35. Because you’re the only person who ordered avocado toast this morning. The avocado was served on top of the toast and the tomato on the side, because we don’t know how much the customer likes. Or if you want to add tomato or not, that’s why we serve it separately,” they explained.

But the most notable part has been the final touch of the response from the establishment: “I don’t understand the need to lie. Apart from the kindness with which you were treated, and that you still owed 5 cents. All the best”.

The publication is accompanied by an image where you can see how the avocado toast is served at the store, with the tomato in a separate container so that the customer can add it to their liking. In just 15 hours, @soycamareroo’s post on Instagram exceeds 4,000 likes.

Furthermore, reactions to the surreal review follow one another in the comments section. “If she wanted it faster, she would get up early and make them at home,” notes one user. “The issue of reviews is getting out of hand,” says another.
