Pets are so loved that they end up being considered just another member of the family. The love for our animals is evident in many ways: petting them whenever we can, rewarding them when they behave well or giving them all the comforts they need, from a comfortable bed to a water bowl at their height, in the case of dogs.
But there is life beyond dogs. And there are people who become fond of other animals like chimpanzees. That is the case of a couple that decided to raise this primate.
The friction makes the love. That’s why, when they had to separate from him, the wait to see him again became too long. It took her a year to hug the chimpanzee again, and he was just as happy as the couple.
As can be seen in a video published on X (formerly Twitter), the keepers take the primate out of its room and take it to meet this couple. As soon as he sees them in the distance, he runs out to hug them. First, he embraces her in a hug. Then she hangs herself on him.
Users have not resisted commenting on the tender scene. “I hope one day someone loves me like this chimpanzee loves his family,” says one. “I’m a sea of ??tears. How happy she is,” adds another. And some go further: “I need a chimpanzee.”
