Agents from the Seprona of the Civil Guard, together with firefighters and a preserve guard, have rescued a dog that had fallen into a well about ten meters high in the Badajoz town of Azuaga.
The events occurred on the morning of this past Friday, when the guard of a preserve that was located in the ‘ehesa Vieja’ area in the municipality of Azuaga notified the Civil Guard when he heard barking coming from inside a well, which It is covered with a green raffia canvas.
Upon arriving at the scene, the Seprona agents verified that the animal corroborated the information and the height at which it was about ten meters, so having sufficient material for the rescue, they requested the collaboration of the firefighters of this town. pacense
In this way, the men, aided by ropes and harnesses, entered the interior of the well, and later climbed up with a box and managed to rescue the animal, according to the Civil Guard in a press release.
In the superficial inspection it was observed that the dog did not have visible wounds or injuries that the fall could have caused, and after providing it with water and food, they verified that it lacked an identifying microchip, so they have begun the steps to find out the identity of its owner. , in addition to trying to find out the causes of the animal falling into the well.
So far, the dog has been taken in by the canine shelter ‘La Tinaja’ in Villafranca de los Barros.
