In the daily life of an agent of the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard there are tasks such as regulating traffic or attending to possible accidents on the road. But from time to time unforeseen events happen that have little or nothing to do with the road and vehicles as such: the birth of an animal.

This is what happened this Monday, November 27, in Valladolid. A goat has gone into labor on the side of a Valladolid road and there a Benemérita agent has not hesitated for a second when it comes to helping the animal and helping it bring two babies into the world.

The agent, wearing gloves, assisted in the birth of the goat, helping her to deliver the babies and later placing them to suckle, within reach of the mother who immediately watched and licked her two newborn goats.

“In Valladolid the civil traffic guards are used to providing assistance on the road, but if circumstances require it, they also assist an animal in childbirth,” read the publication of the Civil Guard on its profile on the social network X (previously Twitter). The message is accompanied by a short video where you can see the exciting moment in which the agent helps the two kids to be born.

There were also some witnesses who came to witness the event and who even joked with the agent about the birth. “Look to see if there are any more,” suggested one of those present, “they are alike, they are twins,” they commented. The video already has more than 200 thousand views and more than two thousand likes on the social network.

At the moment, it has not been revealed whether the goat was owned by someone in the area. In any case, the assistance of the Civil Guard has ensured a happy ending to the birth, which took place without incident. The presence of the animal giving birth on the side of the road has not led to any accident or incident related to road safety.

Both the goat and the two babies are in good condition and have left the images to remember that have quickly gone viral on social networks, with comments from other users applauding the agent’s performance and commenting on the tender moment.
