Yoga, an ancient practice that combines physical, mental, and spiritual elements, has its origins in India. The term ‘yoga’ originates from Sanskrit, meaning to join or unite, symbolizing the connection between body and consciousness.

In preparation for International Yoga Day on June 21, various events and discussions are being held across India and internationally to highlight the significance and benefits of yoga. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been actively promoting the integration of yoga into daily life, sharing videos demonstrating different ‘Asanas’ and their benefits on social media.

PM Modi stressed the importance of making yoga a regular part of our lives, stating that it offers a sanctuary of calm amidst life’s challenges. As the world prepares to mark the 10th International Day of Yoga, the Prime Minister highlighted how yoga has transcended cultural and geographical boundaries, uniting millions in the pursuit of holistic well-being.

With a focus on promoting well-being and unity, International Yoga Day serves as a reminder of the transformative power of yoga in bringing people together and fostering a sense of harmony. As we celebrate this annual event, let us reaffirm our commitment to embracing yoga as a way of life and encouraging others to do the same.
