After last year’s madness in Barcelona, with record numbers of spectators and uncomfortable crowds, the Primavera Sound music festival is back with a new strategy that reduces the pressure on Barcelona in favor of Madrid, but still has to win over the Madrid public.
The festival, which brings together more than 200,000 visitors each year, will take place over two weekends in two Spanish cities: from May 29 to June 4 it will be held at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona-Sant Adrià del Besòs , and from June 5 to 11 at the Ciudad del Rock de Arganda del Rey in Madrid.
The start of the city of Barcelona will take place this Wednesday, May 31 at the hands of Pet Shop Boys, Jake Bugg, Confidence Man and La Paloma. Access will be free for all people who want to access the venue, but will require a prior reservation until full capacity is reached.
RosalÃa, Kendrick Lamar, Blur, St. Vincent, Depeche Mode or Bad Gyal are some of the great attractions that the festival will bring together and will concentrate the greats of world music in three days.
The price of the Barcelona simple passes cost 325 euros and gives access to the Barcelona edition from June 1-4 and to Primavera a la Ciutat from May 29. Day tickets, both for Barcelona and Madrid, cost €125 and double tickets (Primavera Sound Barcelona Primavera Sound Madrid), €520.
The Primavera Pro Basic and Primavera Pro Premium accreditations, which give access to the festival’s music program as well as all the Primavera Pro 2023 conferences and activities, will cost €360 and €580, respectively.
