Pastrami sandwich with New York-style cereal bread: learn how to prepare this delicious dish

Every January 14, Americans celebrate National Pastrami Day, a very tasty meat (usually beef) that is prepared and preserved in brine and then smoked. It is used to make one of the most iconic sandwiches in New York City, which is also filled with pickles, mustard, mayonnaise and arugula.

At least that’s how they prepare it at Katz’s deli on the Lower East Side, the establishment that many believe makes the best pastrami sandwich in the world (although some believe that its fame is due more to its appearance in the 1989 film When Harry Met Sally).
