For three generations, the Mascaró family has been dedicated to the production of high-quality spirits, cavas and wines, with a clear vocation of combining tradition and modernity.
Collecting the legacy of their predecessors and contributing creativity and renewal, at Mascaró they believe that the essence of a product is found in its origin. For this reason, all the wines and cavas they make come from grapes from their Mas Miquel estate (located next to the Santes Creus monastery), registered in the DO Penedès and the DO Cava, a fact that allows them to control the entire production process and guarantee the high quality of the final result.
Mas Miquel is one of the highest areas of the Penedès and is bordering the D.O. Tarragona. It is a cold area, with plenty of light and wind, which helps the vineyard not suffer so many diseases, thus reducing the use of chemical products such as pesticides.
Its cellars and distillery, located in Vilafranca del Penedès, 48 ??km from Barcelona, ??have been the perfect setting for the production of spirits, cavas and wines since 1946.
From the heart of the Penedès they have managed to export their products to more than a dozen countries (USA, Norway, Lithuania, China, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, among others) and have always worked with passion to offer consumers and specialized public products unique and surprising.
The personal style of each of its products is based on respect for its own character, the use of natural products and attention to detail throughout the entire production process.
As far as the elaboration of the cavas is concerned, the process of second fermentation and aging in the bottle gives them the characteristic structure and complexity of the Reserva and Gran Reserva cava.
Indómit Blanc de Noirs, the naturale salvaje Garnacha cava
Indòmit Blanc de Noirs 2018 shows the wildest and most surprising side of Garnacha from vineyards on the Mas Miquel estate surrounded by forests forming small vine gardens and in which nature expresses itself untamed.
It is a 100% Garnacha white cava with hints of red fruits made by the traditional method with second fermentation (upper aging) in the bottle where they remain for at least 30 months. Dry, clean, full-bodied, full of nuances with a long finish and, of course, the most original.
It pairs excellently with appetizers, ham, cheese, especially goat cheese, fish and light dishes. Its recommended serving temperature is between 5 and 8 degrees.
