Loud sounds or strident noises such as firecrackers can cause great suffering in animals, especially dogs. In these episodes, dogs may suffer anxiety attacks or very high stress levels. The response in many cases is to run away, without answering the calls of their owners.

That has also been the case of Romeo, an 11-year-old chihuahua lost in Seville due to firecrackers. The animal was walking with its owner through a park in the capital of Seville. “Romeo was in the dog area of ??the park while I was talking to a friend,” Rosa tells Informativos Telecinco. At that time, some children arrived and started setting off firecrackers and the dog fled in terror.

Rosa has not heard from the dog since that day. Only a couple of people confirmed what she feared: Romeo had run away and had been seen on several streets and highways in the city.

“I wonder if he is cold or hungry,” laments the woman, who asks for help to locate him. Despite the situation, the Andalusian does not give up and she has wallpapered her neighborhood in Seville with posters, where her photo and information about her animal appear.

As he explains to this medium, Romeo is an 11-year-old Chihuahua cross with a “very characteristic” bump on the right side of his neck. Around his neck, he wears a light beige anti-parasitic leash and a harness with a bone-shaped button that lights up when pressed. Also, he may be disoriented because he has cataracts and doesn’t see well at all.

Although the hours pass and news arrives, Rosa does not lose hope of finding him: “I just hope that someone has found him and is taking care of him.”
