TikTok user @aquisandrax, accompanied by a friend, decides to visit the only Spanish restaurant in Hawaii, sharing her gastronomic experience through a video that has captured the attention of more than 860,000 viewers and generated more than 800 comments.

The tour begins with the choice of representative dishes of Spanish cuisine. To start, they order anchovies in vinegar, and although Sandra expresses her preference for enjoying them without the chilli so as not to detract from their flavor, she explains that there is not much of them. The ham croquettes, however, receive praise and are rated as “good” by both diners.

The main course includes a varied selection: acorn-fed ham toast, Galician-style octopus and a black rice paella. Sandra describes the torrada as somewhat bland, although she highlights the flavor of the acorn-fed ham separately… The funny thing is that it has about a kilo of tomato!

For its part, the octopus, despite being a little tough, also receives praise for its flavor, and as for the paella, Sandra mentions that it lacks a touch of flavor and the characteristic “socarrat”, but suggests that the combination with allioli and squid significantly improves the experience.

Desserts close the culinary experience with a purple cheesecake and Catalan cream. The cheesecake receives praise for its unique flavor, while the crème brûlée is compared to a lemon-tinged custard.

By showing the bill, which amounts to about $165, Sandra provides a complete overview of her experience at this Spanish restaurant in Hawaii, sparking audience interest and generating comments about her own culinary experiences in unique locations. Furthermore, she wonders how much such a dinner would cost in Spain.

The video not only offers a gastronomic review but also highlights the diversity of flavors and dishes in Spanish cuisine, even when it is far from its roots in a place as unique as Hawaii.
