The Fundació Mona is a chimpanzee recovery sanctuary that does an immense job rehabilitating species of apes that have suffered some type of abandonment or mistreatment. In their center in Riudellots de la Selva (Girona) they have species of macaques and chimpanzees to which Mona gives a second chance to live in an environment of reintegration and care.
