Following the altercation, Edlin was arrested for domestic battery and resisting an officer without violence.

After the confrontation, Edlin fled from the residence and reportedly tried to hide behind bushes in his backyard to evade the police. Fortunately, he was eventually located and taken into custody. Subsequently, Edlin was released on his own recognizance from the Pinellas County Jail.
