The footage shows a road rage suspect shooting at the driver of another car, resulting in fatal injuries to the driver and serious harm to a passenger. The tragic event occurred on a Thursday afternoon around 4 p.m. near South Lorena Street in Boyle Heights.

According to authorities, a gold Cadillac and a dark SUV, believed to be a Dodge Durango, were involved in a confrontation that quickly escalated into violence. The occupants of the Dodge Durango got out of their vehicle and started shooting at those in the gold Cadillac. The Cadillac driver managed to turn around and drive in the wrong direction on the freeway to escape the assailants.

Tragically, the driver of the Cadillac suffered serious injuries, and a passenger lost their life in the attack. The deceased victim was identified as a man in his 20s. Aerial footage following the shooting showed the Cadillac had collided with multiple vehicles after the incident, leading to significant traffic delays as authorities conducted their investigation.

New dashcam footage obtained by KTLA revealed the chaotic moments as the victim’s Cadillac swerved while attempting to evade the shooters. The tires screeched as the driver reversed direction on the freeway, only to be met with gunfire from the suspect. The shooter then fled on foot, appearing to stumble and pick up an item they had dropped during their escape.

As of Saturday morning, neither of the suspects involved in the fatal shooting had been apprehended or identified, and authorities had not determined a motive for the attack. The investigation into this tragic incident continues, with law enforcement working to bring those responsible to justice and provide closure to the victims and their families.
