In recent days, the video of an influencer named Nirvana Hank went viral on X and TikTok. Because? Because in the clip, the young woman shows her life of luxury and shows that among her belongings there is a giraffe. Yes, a real giraffe.
The Mexican shows her golf cart, a huge dining room with dozens of chairs, an island with monkeys, a statue in a room and the aforementioned giraffe. She also records herself within the playing field of the “Xolos” of Tijuana, making it clear that she has the possibility of entering it whenever she wants.
Immediately, many users wondered who this girl is and why she has so much money. In fact, there was speculation about where her capital came from. But that is another subject.
Nirvana Hank is a 24-year-old girl, daughter of the former Municipal President of Tijuana, Jorge Hank Thon, and the former deputy María Elvia Amaya. On the part of the politician she has a total of 22 siblings; eight from father and mother.
Nirvana is one of the few famous Hanks. And he gained his popularity on Instagram and TikTok, where he has accumulated, between both social networks, more than a million followers.
In most of her videos she narrates her experiences as a recovering alcoholic to help others overcome that problem.
And also to help herself. “Sharing my story helps my sobriety a lot. It allows me to remember how I finished and why, for today, I don’t use. Thank you as always, I love you,” she says in one of her latest videos.
In another publication she says that due to her addiction she “harmed herself” for eight years, thought about making an attempt on her life and asked her father to institutionalize her. She understands that one of the big events that affected her was the death of her mother. “She changed my life,” she said about that event.
About the days she spent hospitalized, Nirvana even said: “I thought I was going to go to a strawberry clinic, I never imagined I was going to end up on an annexed farm.”
And he concluded: “The first two weeks I spent thinking ‘I’m going to go to the godmother and I’m going to tell her that all this is a mistake’ (…) She told me: ‘What you are is arrogant’ and I told her : ‘I’m going to sue you, I’m going to take everything from you so let me go.’ Being locked up isn’t easy, but it works.”
Beyond his difficult life experiences, Hank seems to have found his way by communicating his experiences and helping others.
In some publications she reveals her fanaticism for horse riding, a sport that helped her overcome her problems. “Today I seek to grow (..). I am proud of being who I am,” she acknowledges in the publication she made when she turned 24 where she is shown with a horse.
That message ends with a message of resilience for his followers: “Far from congratulating me, congratulations to everyone who is here today. Because life is not easy and staying to fight… that is brave.”
Furthermore, in the annual balance for 2023, it acknowledged that it was experiencing favorable “times of change.”
“This year I learned that as we grow, our environment also grows with us. Your person grows, changes, adapts… and so does your environment. Relationships, friendships, projects and old parts of ourselves can remain along the way. All to make room for new passions, projects; new cities, people and adventures. This is the way of life. The most precious gift is the present and the sooner we understand it, the sooner we will be able to find fulfillment,” he wrote.
Nirvana did not speak about the viral video, in which a giraffe appears on their property, which has generated a multitude of criticism on social networks. Not on Instagram, not on TikTok.
Hank is a 68-year-old Mexican businessman and politician. He is the owner of Mexico’s largest sports betting company, Grupo Caliente, and was Municipal President of the Mexican city of Tijuana from 2004 to 2007.
Throughout his life, often questioned for alleged brushes with the illegal, Hank was arrested for two crimes in 1991 and 2011.
First, police detained him at the Mexico City International Airport when he returned from Japan. He had items made from exotic and endangered animals in his suitcase. He was accused of smuggling, but was quickly acquitted.
In 2011, the Mexican army detained him at his residence in Tijuana. He found 88 firearms and more than 9 thousand cartridges. He was acquitted ten days later.
Nirvana’s mother, who died in 2012 when she was only 56 years old, was a member of the Congress of the Union and President of the National System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family in Tijuana.
