Some clients insist on being right. If they are denied, they do not hesitate to post a critical review on the Internet, where they do not hesitate in the slightest. The anger is such that many lose their manners, even though their complaint is reasonable and sparks one of the most recurring debates in the world of hospitality: eating (or not) food from one establishment in another establishment.
That was the case of a customer who vented all his anger in a review. “It seems terrible to me that you stop to have coffee and they don’t let you eat a cake that is not from the business, and even more so when you have a very well-known cake business next to you and instead of sharing you let me know about that,” he explains in a comment collected by X’s account, I’m a Waiter.
This user assures that he will not set foot in the establishment again: “Next time I pass by and sit at the bar next door where they do let you have the cake and even more so when you go with children… I find it amazing “. “Thank you for nothing,” he finishes her.
The debate is not new and has always been very recurrent in the world of hospitality. In the case of this business, he assures that everything has a logical explanation: “The reason we cannot consume cakes from another establishment is simply because we also have cakes.”
And he gives an example so that his position is understood. “If you go to any restaurant and eat food from another establishment and only ask for a soft drink, the same thing wouldn’t happen to you,” she argues.
Beyond listening to reasons, he maintains that he was communicated with good manners: “Our staff always conveys the message of not being able to consume products outside the establishment with the maximum possible respect.”
On social networks, opinions are divided. “Man, it’s one thing for workers who bring their sandwich from home and stop at a bar and order a drink, which is quite common, and another to come with a cake from a pastry shop next door,” argues one user. “Why are there still people who believe that just because you go with children, everything is valid and there are no rules or schedules?” adds another.
