The new cultural proposal of the Barcelona region of Maresme scheduled for this coming May 27 does not change plans but it does change its location. The Can Reon Festival will maintain its mix of culture and gastronomy programme, but it has been forced to move from the farmhouse that gives the cycle its name to the Casino de Tiana, “for reasons beyond the organization’s control”, as explained by the festival itself in a release.

The event is a new proposal in the area that aspires to unite wine, gastronomy, art and music in the same setting and day, with the aim of “creating a new experience for all the senses”.

It will take place on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in different spaces of the Casino and will be attended by local artists Carles Viarnès and Alba G. Corral (musician and visual artist), Miquel Barcelona (contemporary dance) or Cristina Lucas (video installation), and internationals such as Genevieve Murphy (Music and performance), Jurgen Bey (artist), Marco Barotti (media artist) and Jan Rothuizen (illustrator). The experience will be completed with a proposal of Dutch and Catalan dishes, and a selection of DO Alella wines.

The Can Reon Festival is one of the events scheduled for the global project that aims to revitalize the farmhouse, which is over 777 years old, together with the vineyard and the land that surrounds them. This is the dream come true of Renny and Leon Ramakers, a couple of Dutch origin who are internationally recognized in the design and music industry and who settled in Tiana six years ago to shape their artistic project.
