Trapezi returns during the second week of May to the epicenter of the city of Reus to fill its streets with acrobats, magicians and new shows, demonstrating its leadership among the most beloved and emblematic strategic fairs in Catalonia.

In its twenty-seventh edition, Trapezi takes a turn in artistic direction, where Cristina Cazorla and Alba Sarraute take over for the next four years. One of its objectives is to recover different spaces in the city so that the circus reaches all its corners, as well as promoting local and emerging talent.

From May 10 to 14, the festival will premiere a program that will reflect contemporary circus talent with fifty artistic proposals. Reus will host 36 companies, two cabarets and a showcase, together with European, Catalan and other autonomous community groups.

Within the poster of this 2023, designed by the Catalan illustrator Laia Arriols, known as Apanona, several companies have been confirmed that will go out to jump through the streets of the municipality.

Among them are My!Laika with its proposal Winter, a show that will highlight the stupidity of circus actions; the work Rouge Nord by the French company Cirque Pardi!, and a group of jugglers and dancers who will perform Baïna[na], a poetic satire where they will paint a social, dreamlike and absurd fresco of the contemporary world.

As is tradition, the fair will organize the Jornades Trapezi Pro Catalan Arts, where professionals from the sector will meet to promote artistic work and present current creations, as well as foster links between professionals and entities in the circus world.

During May 11, 12 and 13, various sessions will be held hybridly in parallel with others, exclusively face-to-face, which will recover the La Palma theater as the epicenter of the meeting.
