Some find it difficult to clarify when they make a purchase in another autonomous community, especially if one of the co-official state languages ??(Catalan, Basque or Galician) is used in that region. Not everyone is used to hearing them and doubts arise when they read words like cogombre or pernill, cucumber and ham in their translation into Spanish.
That is just what happened to a Murcian tiktoker. She went shopping at a Catalan supermarket and couldn’t believe it when she checked her ticket. “It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced,” she assured her followers.
“We went to a Mercadona and then we reviewed the ticket so richly, to see if we had not been scammed. And I stayed dead,” she explains in her speech. Although it seems that it was a fun time, judging by how she has titled the video of her: “They were laughs.”
The surprise of this Murcian began when she began to read “three gels of I don’t know what.” Actually, it was the ice cubes that she had bought. “Who has bought gel? Let him out, because we are not going to tell him anything! And suddenly it was ice,” she continues.
Same story with the triangles of blat de moro: “I mean, but if this purchase is not ours. If we have taken doritos.” His total surprise came with the petits cogombres. “‘Caga-hombres’, but what is this?” asks this tiktokter. They were pickled gherkins and she assures that Catalan is “more difficult than Chinese”.
When reading all this, the woman from Murcia thought that her purchase had been stolen or that her ticket had been changed, because she did not recognize any product. “If you read it carefully you can fall. But, at first, I didn’t find out anything”, she finished.
