Nobody wants to go to the doctor, not even four-legged friends. Going to the vet can be a stressful experience for them and their owners. Although it is a necessary evil to preserve their health, the anxiety that animals feel during these visits is comparable to what many humans feel at the idea of ??going to the dentist.
But in the Brazilian city of São Paulo, veterinarian Giulia Loschiavo is changing this perception, patient by patient. And she hasn’t cost him much. Her particular way of treating her animals has meant that all the dogs that come to her clinic are not afraid and, in addition, are very happy to be with her.
What is surprising is the way in which Giulia has managed to transform an environment that could be terrifying for animals into one of security and affection. “Tell me if I can handle so much love? That’s what motivates me every day,” Giulia wrote in an Instagram post that collects all the love she receives from her patients.
As you can see in the video, all the dogs enter like crazy and go straight towards her. Golden retrievers, dachshunds, Maltese bichon or greyhounds. Race doesn’t matter because everyone jumps, gives kisses and lets the doctor give them hugs. There are some who even climb up her lap while she works on the computer. A little later the humans who accompany them arrive, but when they enter through the door they can only see the furry animals enjoying the veterinary clinic.
Giulia has spoken to the Amo Meu Pet portal about how she makes sure the animals she has to treat are so calm in her office. According to her, it is very important to treat each animal not only as a patient, but as if it lived with her. This dedication has earned him the applause of many social media users: “How wonderful, truly admirable when a person dedicates themselves wholeheartedly to their profession.”
In this sense, the veterinarian is aware that each animal that comes to her clinic is a valuable member of a family. These people trust her and she cannot let them down: “My relationship with pets and their owners is always one of great respect and dedication; I know that they are trusting me with something important for them.” This philosophy has allowed Giulia to not only provide exceptional medical care, but also establish a relationship of trust with the animals so that they do not suffer during their stay at the veterinarian.
