This is the Tarragona hazelnut chocolate bar, distributed by the Swedish brand Cloetta. Created in 1928, its name refers to the importation of this dried fruit from what was once a key city of the Roman Empire. The brand has several products along similar lines, but its Snickers or Twix-style bar stands out, made up of sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, hazelnuts, vegetable fat, whey powder, salt and a light vanilla aroma.
Cloetta explains on its website that it is a chocolate bar especially suitable for “nut lovers”, mixing Swedish and Catalan traditions. Through the portal, they indicate that this bar respects the art of roasted hazelnuts as it is done in Tarragona, known for its nuts beyond its Roman vestiges. In the past, the company also had tablets of different sizes available, with other nuts such as pistachios and even ice cream.
The Tarragona chocolate bar has reached social networks thanks to a striking image of a Swedish supermarket. In it, you can see different types of sweet snacks of the same shape and size. Among them, Daim stands out, the caramel and crunchy almond bar that in Spain can be enjoyed in the form of a cake thanks to Ikea.
