There are many occasions in which dogs become the best allies of shepherds. Both work together to maintain order in the flocks and defend them against possible threats; that is the case of the Chulo mastiff.
Chulo guarded and protected the herd of goats and their owner from attacks by wolves, bears and thieves. However, everything went wrong when a TikToker passed through the area and took the animal thinking it was abandoned.
The alleged theft of the mastiff is being investigated by the Civil Guard of Cantabria, since it took place in the town of Asón, belonging to the municipality of Arredondo. A content creator was visiting the region when she found a mastiff puppy.
After verifying that he did not have a microchip, he thought that he was abandoned, so he took him and gave him up for adoption to a family. Roberto Abascal, the complaining rancher, explained that Chulo was in the mountains with three other mastiffs in charge of taking care of his goats.
At that moment the content creator passed through the area, recording the moment in which she took the mastiff home thinking it was abandoned. In fact, Roberto himself was able to see the clip on TikTok on December 20.
After contacting her, the girl refused to return him, claiming that she had looked for a family and had given him up for adoption. At the moment, Roberto still doesn’t know where his mastiff is, but he assures that she can prove that it is his from the photos she has of him. Likewise, the rancher owns both Chulo’s father and mother.
