A horse sees grass for the first time in its life after living in confinement and its reaction is incredible

Although freedom is a fundamental right, it is heartbreaking to know that there are animals that have never experienced this sensation. These innocent beings, trapped in cages and deprived of their natural habitat, face a life of suffering and hardship.

However, in the face of this bleak reality, a ray of hope emerges. There are altruistic people, moved by compassion and love for animals, who work tirelessly to change this situation. As the Pubity account has published on various platforms,  Maija Vance is one of these heroines who tries to give horses a second chance.

In a viral video you can see Sam, a horse who, thanks to Vance’s tireless efforts, has been released and can now enjoy freedom for the first time in his life. As indicated in the clip, the animal had spent two years locked in a building and had never seen grass, something that seems impossible for a horse.

This release has been very exciting. The video of Sam, running, kicking, jumping and even rolling in the mud are very impressive. The images in which he appears belly up, completely muddy, perfectly reflect the animal’s joy. In this sense, it is not difficult to imagine Sam’s happiness, feeling the ground under his paws for the first time in a long time and having ground to run on.

Numerous users have wanted to comment on the video, emphasizing that horses should be free and not confined: “No animal should be locked up in a building for most of its life. Freedom suits this sweet boy wonderfully.” Some users have gone further, comparing Sam to the iconic horse from the animated film Spirit.
