The stage of a theater is not used to combining with the limit. The young social theater festival Deslimita’m, even less so. With its seventeenth edition it will present 150 young people from different towns in Catalonia at the Center Artesà Tradicionàrius next Saturday, May 25.
The festival is an initiative of the Fundació La Roda i ImpactaT, which highlights a free and horizontal theater with a marked social seal. In this way, not only a discovery of theater as a constructive tool, but also as leisure and a method of expression, is promoted among youth.
The activity is an integral part of the Actuem! project. Teatre Social per a Joves, active since 2006, from the Fundació La Roda i ImpactaT. The festival is the result of previous work thanks to the social theater workshops given throughout the year, which give the participating teenagers the opportunity to express their doubts and conflicts.
The boys and girls between 12 and 18 years old trained in the workshops will show the social and educational values worked on, which help their future or present management of insecurities.
Intended for all audiences and with free admission, each group will have 25 minutes so that the 150 young people who perform on Saturday have the opportunity to embody the values of the festival and play without limits in an exercise of freedom, that which is so typical of theater.
