Canadian prime minister tested positive for COVID-19

He tweeted the announcement and urged everyone to get vaccinated.

Trudeau stated on Thursday that he would be going into isolation for five consecutive days because he found out that the previous night he had been in touch with someone who had tested positive. According to Trudeau, that person was one his three children.

Trudeau was previously isolated at his home during the first months of the pandemic, after his wife had tested positive.

Canada has one the highest levels of coronavirus vaccinations in the world. These shots are designed to prevent those who get infected from becoming seriously ill.

This announcement came after a weekend of protests against lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and masks in Ottawa, Canada. Some demonstrators drove in convoys of trucks and parked their vehicles on streets surrounding Parliament Hill to block traffic.
