Zayra Gutiérrez has found herself in a situation that she probably could not even have imagined just a few years ago: she has become the mother of little Hugo at the age of 23, the result of her relationship with Miki Mejías. Two very young first-time parents who have suddenly realized the responsibilities of having a baby in their arms, but luckily they have all kinds of support. Among others, that of Arantxa de Benito, Zayra’s mother, who does not separate from her daughter at this very special moment.

This is demonstrated in a joint interview in the magazine ¡Hola!, where the eldest daughter of Jose María Gutiérrez ‘Guti’ reflects on what the arrival of Hugo in her life has meant for her, after years turned into the “problematic teenager” of the Spanish gossip press.

Mother and daughter pose happily with the baby for the aforementioned publication at Arantxa de Benito’s house, where the couple has moved to live during this first stage to help them care for the baby. Seeing her mother and her partner taking care of the little one, herself being responsible… Zayra Gutiérrez is a new woman. She herself admits it. She’s happier, more mature, and she shows it.

“I was very scared at first, but everything passes,” he admits, confessing that he cried a lot the first day, but now he can’t stop smiling.

The young woman acknowledges that her most rebellious stage is behind her. There is no trace of that problematic Zayra that made headlines in the press for breaking the rules in the middle of a pandemic or partying in places of dubious reputation.

“My way of seeing life is different,” he says, explaining that his responsibility now is Hugo and everything that has to do with him. What’s more, Zayra explains that it is now when she realizes the things that her mother told her when she was little and she “hated” that she said to her. “Having a child is a lifetime commitment,” she acknowledges.

About being such a young mother, the daughter of Arantxa de Benito assures that she only sees advantages, because she has always wanted it to be that way. She insists that she has also been lucky to be with the man she loves, Miki Mejías, for which she regrets nothing.

Not only has his life changed, but little Hugo has also managed to completely transform his family. Zayra had a somewhat distant relationship with her father, but the birth of the baby seems to have made amends. The soccer player, his wife, Romina Belluscio; and his two young sons, Romeo (10) and Enzo (2), did not want to miss meeting Hugo either, whom they welcomed with great enthusiasm.

A very happy family, reunited -although with Arantxa de Benito and Guti always separately- and ready to face a new stage, now all united with the good of little Hugo in mind.
