The unexpected break between Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro continues to leave reactions and consequences since it was confirmed this week. Both singers have announced the end of their relationship after three years together, causing an earthquake in social networks and the media. However, some of the cross information and statements issued cast doubt on the version that both artists have presented, giving rise to more investigations.
One of them is that of Fran Vélez, a Puerto Rican journalist who would have inquired into Rauw Alejandro’s environment to try to find out the truth about the matter. And her sources on the Caribbean island would have given her an answer very similar to the one provided by Leticia Requejo in The Summer Program. According to this version, it would have been Rosalía who would have left the man from San Juan, a month and a half ago, in June. Some statements that would not coincide with those of the singer.
“I was talking to some of the people close to Rauw Alejandro’s team and they assure me that apparently they left a month and a half ago, that it was Rosalía who left Rauw… She is very affected, he is also overcoming this break that was surprise and that he is dealing with the situation,” Vélez commented on the television program Lo sé todo, on the local channel Wapa Televisión. The journalist also denied that there was any infidelity.
“They assured me that there was no horn, as is being rumored out there in different media, and also that he is already back in Puerto Rico, struggling, taking refuge with his family, friends…”, he added in his speech. Going back to the dates of the breakup, Fran Vélez’s version practically coincides with that of Leticia Requejo, the collaborating journalist at Mediaset, who would have pointed out that only a month had passed since it happened.
“Between the 20th and the 28th. That is, a month. The Catalan left the relationship. The reason that Rosalía put an end to everything could be infidelity ”, she indicated in The summer program, providing a closer window but reinforcing the idea that Vélez denied. Both windows share somewhat closer dates than the versions provided by Rauw Alejandro, first in the official statement and later in a message in X that he deleted hours later.
“Yes, a few months ago, Rosi and I ended our engagement,” he stated in the statement. On the other hand, the deleted letter reads as follows: “Wow, those who know the most. We ended exactly two months ago, we have responsibilities and commitments with you our fans, a break is not announced the next day. I will be many things but a liar and unfaithful is not one of those. Happy already? Can you leave us alone?”
