Who is Viruzz, the streamer who will fight in 'La Velada 4' after testing positive for doping?

The Year 4 Evening is full of surprises. One of the most impressive is the return of byViruzz, one of the most famous boxers of this macro event, since he only missed the third edition due to injury. And, without a doubt, the only one who has been involved in a doping scandal.

The Aragonese streamer tested positive for an anti-doping test in August 2023 and, since then, has been trying to clear his name. “We all know the mistake he made,” Ibai acknowledged. Despite this, the organization has decided to give it a new vote of confidence, something that has not been liked too much on the networks.

In this way, Viruzz returns to the ring after solving his doping case to face Shelao. This Chilean streamer already participated in the third edition, although his fight against Misho lasted very little due to injury. On this occasion, no helmet will be used as a safety measure, which will favor a more intense fight between two men with boxing experience.

Viruzz’s history with doping dates back to a Professional Boxing Association (PBA) test, in which he tested positive for testosterone at levels ten times higher than normal. This test had nothing to do with the third edition of The Evening of the Year, but with a previous fight against DK Money, within the framework of Misfits 007.

The publication of this result led Viruzz to issue a statement in which he assumed full responsibility for his actions and apologized to his followers, the organization of the event and those who gave him the opportunity to get into the ring. Furthermore, he assured that no one had suggested that he do so. He didn’t even know anyone.

In his explanations about the reasons that led him to doping, Viruzz mentioned feeling without direction after the cancellation of important projects, something that led him to try to improve his physical condition as a way to feel better mentally, although he recognized that it was not the solution.

According to him, he stopped doping before his first fight of the year, mistakenly believing his body would be clean in time for drug testing. He also stressed that his physical change program, a project he had recently announced, was legitimate and predated these incidents, completely separating him from any banned substances.

The consequences of doping for Viruzz have been important, both in terms of sanctions and the reaction of those around him. The PBA imposed a financial fine and a two-year suspension from any competitive activity in the ring. Furthermore, figures close to him, such as his coach Sandor Martin or Ibai Llanos, expressed their disappointment and rejection of this scandal.

Since the sanction does not affect this type of events and Viruzz has shown proof that he is clean, it seems that his opportunities are returning. In January he refused to box and will be one of the highlights of La Velada 4 after Ibai and Sandor have decided to give him a second chance.
