Who is Frank Blanco: From Xaxier Sardà's double to Ana Rosa Quintana's replacement

This Friday we learned the news that Ana Rosa Quintana has had to look for a new presenter for Friday afternoons on TardeAR, after the network’s decision to have Bea Archidona as presenter of De Viernes. Archidona left a vacant spot that, as of yesterday, now officially has a replacement. This is Frank Blanco, who this past Friday already took charge of the program. Although Blanco rose to fame for his work on the radio, the truth is that from a very young age he already made his debut on television.

Raised in Mollet del Vallés, in the province of Barcelona, ??Francisco Blanco Escudero began his journey in the world of radio when he was still a teenager. He was on a local radio station, and at age 25 he moved to Madrid to work as an announcer for Los 40 Principales. Almost simultaneously, he took his first steps on the small screen, becoming known with his imitations in The Martian Chronicles.

The Catalan was hired to act as a double for the presenter, Xavier Sardà. Furthermore, in the 2000s he also tried his hand at acting, and even had a small role in Los Serrano, the legendary Telecinco production that captivated the hearts of all Spaniards, being one of the most emblematic series in history. However, he would end up returning to the radio with the morning program Anda ya de Los 40. The truth is that he has always combined his work on the stations with projects on television.

His face was made known in the musical program Del 40 al 1 and he stood out as a man in black in Caiga Quique Caiga. However, his fame grew exponentially in 2013, when he started Zapeando. That same year he was in charge of ringing the bells for La Sexta, along with journalist Sandra Sabatés. About four years ago he left the well-known program in search of a new dream, and it was Dani Mateo who replaced him. After several projects in different formats, he finally returned to Telecinco.

The truth is that the news that he will host TardeAR on Fridays has not surprised many, since Blanco is one of the people who best knows the program, since he is usually a collaborator on it. Now, Frank will take a step forward and will debut as live host. Ana Rosa trusts the presenter, who was already in charge of Summer Party. At Telecinco, we have also seen him as a collaborator on different programs.

On the other hand, Blanco has also written three books. Regarding his personal and sentimental life, Frank Blanco has 2 children. Both are the result of his marriage to Sira Fernández. The communicator got married a decade ago after 5 years of dating and, although he leaves his private life aside from his work, on some occasions he tells anecdotes about his family in the media. Without a doubt, Quintana’s bet is safe.
