After Maribel Verdú’s visit on Tuesday, Chris Hemsworth became the star of El Hormiguero on Wednesday to talk about his new professional project. The actor, and husband of Elsa Pataky, is the protagonist of Tyler Rake 2, the new Netflix movie that will premiere on June 16 on the platform.
He gets back into the role of agent Tyler Rake, whom everyone thought dead at the end of the first part, to fully recover and face a new mission. He will have the complicated challenge of getting the family of a ruthless gangster out of jail, something that will not be easy.
After talking about the film, which has one of the longest recorded scenes in history, that is, without making any cuts and without being able to make mistakes, the actor wanted to talk about his life and the relationship he has with Spain . In the first place, he wanted to speak in Spanish with a brief “Very good”, after being asked by Motos.
Later he explained that our language is still very difficult for him to learn, although he dared to imitate his wife when she gets angry, at which point she yells and does so in Spanish. Therefore, when he listens to it at home, it is usually a bad sign.
“I am embarrassing, but every time I try to speak Spanish the children laugh at me and refuse to talk. They are bilingual and they like that I look bad when speaking Spanish,” he confessed. It seems that the power to speak any language is one of the few things that Thor resists.
As usual in El Hormiguero, many of the best and funniest responses from the guest were obtained by the ants Trancas and Barrancas, who also wanted to talk about their family life. Specifically, they asked him how he handles family gatherings with his Spanish family, which are surely different from what the actor was used to.
Knowing that he still does not speak Spanish, they wanted to know what Cris Hemsworth does in those moments when the family “speaks shouting and all at the same time” and if “someone makes the effort to speak English with him.” The actor agreed to all with a smile, making it clear that it has happened many times.
“It’s crazy,” he said before remembering that his grandfather had the good fortune to wear a hearing aid and be able to disconnect it “when he was overwhelmed at family dinners. I could do that…”, he lamented. She at that moment surprised her by looking at her hand and saying the phrase: “I am very happy to be able to be in Spain.”
To everyone’s surprise, he pointed to his palm and showed the camera what was written: “I have it here. The chop, like at school.” Later he confessed that it was all his wife’s idea: “Elsa wrote it to me and she told me that she should learn it for me.”
