Watch Eddie Vedder's Cubs fandom celebrated in Spirit Awards spoof

Yes, Eddie Vedder’s Cubs fandom is still alive.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Andy Samberg channeled the Pearl Jam frontman with his take on "Alive" at the Film Independent Spirit Awards Saturday for a spoof of "in memoriam" segments in awards shows.

"Oh, if you love somebody famous, you better tell them right now, ’cause all your favorites may die, uh very soon. Oh, that’s for sure," Samberg sang. "I’m Eddie Vedder and I love the Cubs."

Those who are still alive: Milos Forman, Hailee Steinfeld, Tim Allen, Matt Damon, Viggo Mortensen, Craig Robinson, Casey Affleck.

Not so much: Former Chicagoan Fred Armisen, who looks woozy and has to be carried out of the show by Spirit Awards hosts John Mulaney and Nick Kroll.

"Aww, no. Just now? Oh. Damnit, he was like a pretty close friend of mine, you know? We did a lot of projects together," Samberg said before resuming his version of "Alive."
