Manuel Díaz El Cordobés and Virginia Troconis stand out for their indestructible marriage after twenty-two years sharing life. Their meeting, the result of chance in Venezuela while he was fulfilling his professional obligations, marked the beginning of a love story that, to this day, continues and grows stronger every day.

The couple has opened their hearts on ¡De Viernes!, where they have shared intimate details of their relationship and the moments that have strengthened their union. Troconis has recalled how, in one of the most difficult periods of her life after the death of her boyfriend at the age of 21, the arrival of the bullfighter gave her enough strength to move forward: “Manuel gave me back my smile and the desire to live.” ”.

In this way, thanks to the fact that El Cordobés crossed paths in his life, he was able to overcome this difficult setback, which was also at a very tender age. “I believe that good and bad things forge your path and personality. I managed to overcome that and Manuel arrived when he had to arrive,” he added.

The connection between the two was forged quickly, becoming not only a couple, but friends and confidants. “I really valued having the desire to laugh. I arrived in Spain when I was 22 years old and he was my partner, my friend… I was very in love,” Troconis said. The right-hander, who recently said goodbye to bullfighting, has shared this feeling of mutual improvement: “We both saved each other. I gave you something and I also received something I needed.”

The success of their marriage, they say, is not based on secret formulas, but on daily commitment and understanding. Troconis’ decision to radically change her life in favor of love is proof of her dedication: “I arrived young, I left my studies, I resumed them here, I was a young mother.”

Thus, the couple has highlighted the importance of complicity, mutual support and taking advantage of family time as pillars of their long relationship. “Children bond a lot,” they said.

Finally, the couple took stock of their twenty years together, highlighting that, despite the problems, the reward is looking back and feeling that they did the right thing. “They always ask me about the secret. There isn’t one. Many things can happen in 20 years. The nice thing is to look back and think that it was worth it.”
