Vicky Martín Berrocal blames his father in 'El Hormiguero' for his failures in love: "I come from a broken family"

The week of El Hormiguero starring only women closed this Thursday with the visit of the fashion designer and television collaborator Vicky Martín Berrocal. She came to talk about her book Happiness has neither size nor age, and she did not hesitate to speak clearly about her complexes and to blame her own father for her problems in her love.

The ex-wife of Manuel Díaz ‘El Cordobés’ began the talk by making it clear that she is very happy with the second edition of her book and with how much she has managed to say in it, hoping that it will be useful for other women like her. In it, she talks about her problems with her weight and the situations she has experienced because of the opinions of others.

“This book is full of what they have always seen of me, but it is also loaded with a lot of fear, a lot of insecurity, a lot of anxiety, a lot of tears,” he confessed. “Everyone has always known the A side of me and here you can also see the B side”, something that can be found on his pages.

Although now she is somewhat far from the gossip press, during her time as a couple with the bullfighter her life became a recurring theme in programs and magazines, although many have been able to forget the peculiarity of her family. Her father, José Luis Martín Berrocal, was a magnet for the press at that time.

“I am born in a broken family, until I was 10 years old I did not have the memory of my father living at home, I was not born with a father and for me that was painful,” he confessed. “My father had two parallel lives, one in Huelva and the other in Madrid”, thus he explained that he had two families in different places and with two different partners.

What the guest of El Hormiguero took a long time to discover is that she had brothers: “One day I saw a boy just like me and then I knew that he had a brother, I asked my father and he told me that he did not have one, that he had three brothers “. “I never asked, I thought that my life was like that, for this reason, among other things, I did not understand love well,” she admitted.

The final touch to his family history came when he explained how they all met. “My father one day decided that we all eat together and the other woman came with her children, I was already separated from my mother, yes. My father was like that. This also marked me in the management of love, in the end I come from where I come from and that makes you drag a lot of things”, he assured.

The designer went on to say that due to that lack of attention and how strange her childhood was, she has not been able to manage her love relationships. “When I saw that they loved me very much, I was supremely bored. Today I am no longer like that, I have known love in another way, from calm,” she recognized Pablo Motos.

Despite everything, she has managed to maintain an excellent relationship with her ex-husband, Manuel Díaz, and his current wife, and she wanted to discover how she has achieved it. “The secret is that you forget the bad things that you have experienced. I kept the good,” he began by saying that happiness is complete with everything “I also get along very well with his wife, with both of them, and also with Grandpa”.

He also wanted to talk about the recent reconciliation of Manuel Benítez ‘El Cordobés’ with his son after years without recognizing him. As an anecdote, Vicky Martín Berrocal got to know him when she was the bullfighter’s girlfriend and the relationship between father and son was still non-existent: “He came home one day with my father while I was talking on the mobile with Manuel Jr., I was in shock.”
