On Thursday afternoon, the Sonsoles Ónega program once again addressed the alleged frauds that were being committed around the Trans Law. And since the beginning of the week there has been no talk of anyone other than the 37 soldiers from Ceuta who had decided to change their gender in the registry in accordance with the new Trans Law. A topic that has generated a multitude of reactions both in the media and on social networks.

In Thursday’s program, the Y Ahora Sonsoles team welcomed Francisca Javier and her current partner Nuria to the set. After almost his entire life dedicated to the army, Javier made the decision to change his gender in 2018, a year after meeting his current wife. ”I made the decision because I feel like a woman, it’s my way of thinking and my way of acting, my daily behaviors are more like a woman than a man,” she began by saying.

”We met in 2017 and started a relationship. In 2018 we are already talking about marriage and that’s when she talked to me. I thought she was going to leave me, but she told me she wanted to change her gender. I didn’t care, I fell in love with the person,’ his wife Nuria said. ”We asked the doctor to start the whole hormone process, but the doctor warned us about the repercussions that a certain treatment could have and I was the one who backed him out,” she said.

Some words with which the collaborator Valeria Vegas did not agree at all, who immediately replicated the woman’s response. ”There are things that cannot be said, first. Why do you keep bringing them? Are the 37 going to pass by here? “They are stickers, he is saying incorrect things,” she asserted, while Sonsoles Ónega tried to calm down on the set.

”When you speak I will respect you, but I ask for respect just the same,” Nuria replied. ”She has said something wrong about hormone treatment. Don’t take hormones because it’s bad? But smoking, drinking, everything else does,” Vegas said. ”He doesn’t take hormones because from a medical point of view it wasn’t convenient for him,” the ex-military man’s wife confessed. ”I understand that there are people who don’t like it, but this is a law and it is what it is. It is the same as the gender violence law, that a woman says one thing and it is true yes or yes,” declared the former civil guard.

After this intervention, the collaborator was forceful with these controversial cases. ”From minute one there were many interests in overturning this law. Either because of the person who made it, Irene Montero, or because of who it benefits from, which is a group that has been oppressed for years. People did not oppose the divorce law because it was very good for everyone, but here it is a law where a group is given some rights and that bothers,” said Valeria Vegas.

”Is the positioning of the program clear to you? We are denouncing possible abuses and misuses of the rule, which is what you don’t understand, I’m also telling you,” the presenter asked. ”This is a shame, not for trans people, but for the forces of the State, which seems like a joke to me,” said the collaborator.
