“I was on the crest of the wave, but I felt that I needed to get away from that life. The beautiful thing about living is being able to evolve and flow. And I felt that it was the path that I had to choose at that moment.” This was the explanation that Esther Cañadas gave to Vogue magazine when she had retired from the fashion industry for some time.
The Albacete model decided to take a breather in 2006 after achieving practically everything in the sector. The top became a mother in 2014 and just before the pandemic she decided to resume her career with Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s creative director. Months later, she starred on the cover of Vogue Spain.
Since then, Esther has measured very well each job that she has accepted from the firms of the moment. This past weekend, Cañadas revolutionized social networks with her surprise appearance at the Dsquared2 show in Milan, where the firm presented its spring-summer 2024 collection.
Esther was in charge of closing the show with a spectacular power when it came to walking that made her the protagonist. Cañadas stepped on the catwalk with force and confidence while she defended like no one else a suggestive black dress with sensual openings on the abdomen and skirt.
An impressive design with an asymmetrical neckline that also incorporated a lobster-shaped clasp that joined the part of the body and the skirt, achieving a daring style that she completed with black strappy sandals and her blonde hair combed with a lot of volume and wavy ends.
The model shared her appearance at the parade on Instagram, where many commented on this moment, including Ricky Martin. “Unique and incomparable. My goddess on earth,” wrote the singer. The journalist Isabel Jiménez also assured that “you are not real”, with the emoticon of a red heart.
Likewise, Esther’s followers claimed that they were “freaked out” by her way of parading. “What a scandal, how stylish! You are unique,” wrote one of her fans in a publication that has already accumulated more than 660 comments and almost 8,600 likes.
