MasterChef has started this Monday with two international tests. First, in pairs, the applicants have reproduced three typical American street food dishes, before the jury of the TVE program and Mario Vaquerizo. In the second test, the applicants have had to replicate dishes by chef Juanlu Fernández, a chef who has fused Andalusian roots with French cuisine
Surprisingly, the culinary talent has expelled two of his applicants at the same gala. Carla and Fran have been forced to leave MasterChef 11 after failing to live up to the elimination test. Both have been very grateful to the TVE program.
The elimination test was visited by chef Juanlu Fernández, a chef who has fused Andalusian roots with French cuisine, which was considered the queen of world gastronomy until recently. Masterchef 11 applicants have had to replicate dishes such as Cassoulet de Carcassonne, Foie gras mi cuit or Quiche Lorraine, among others.
The test has been the most complicated for the applicants and after a disastrous French cuisine, Fran and Carla have had to leave MasterChef 11. The rest of the applicants have managed to save themselves and will remain at least one more week in the culinary talent.
“Your dishes were not up to the task, they did not even have the required minimum that we had asked for today. At least reproduce it, but they were two totally different things,” Pepe RodrÃguez assured, addressing Fran and Carla.
“I always looked at you from the sofa and now I am with you. Thank you for the opportunity. MasterChef for me was one of the best experiences of my life. I met incredible people and I’m leaving very happyâ€, Fran assured through tears before the watchful eye of the judges.
“I’m not going to take it as a bad thing. I came here for the experience, for the learning. Without a doubt, the best thing that I take away from MasterChef are my colleagues. Everything is an experience, learning… And if everything happens, it’s for a reasonâ€, Carla assured, trying to hold back her tears.
