Jesús Calleja is a television face more than used to risk, although sometimes he is also forced to show that he is flesh and blood. The presenter, who continues in charge of Planeta Calleja in Cuatro, has given his followers a little scare when he suffered an accident while skiing, and must undergo surgery to treat him.

It happened a few days ago, as Calleja himself has recounted through social networks. The communicator has shared the fatal fall that he has suffered during the practice of the sport, and is concise in his first words when talking about it: “I messed it up”, he began by saying in the video.

“I have broken my cruciate ligament and a tip of the tibial plateau,” confessed Jesús Calleja, already lying on the bed of physiotherapist Jordi Reig. “Obviously, someone who is dedicated to what I do, which are sports with a lot of action, even risk, these things happen. But we manage it very well: attitude, good vibes and having a good time”, has been his advice to cope with it in the best way.

The doctor who accompanies him in the video is the same one who accompanied him at the time of the accident, and also the one in charge of capturing the moment to later show it on the networks. This is how they both commented in a relaxed way, blaming each other for what happened in a humorous way. “He was chasing me, and I was with my mouth open. I was left without a voice, hoarse,” said the physiotherapist on camera.

In addition to the state of Jesús Calleja himself after the accident, many were concerned about how the event could affect the filming of Planeta Calleja, in which the presenter is currently immersed. Given this, he wanted to send a message of absolute tranquility: “You have to follow some (recovery) times, a process … But come on, you are not going to find out,” he assured.

“I am going to continue filming the programs. I am going to film everything that touches me, because I am going to be there”, have been the words of Calleja regarding his space in the prime time of Cuatro. Later, she has gone on to show the images of his body after the accident. The worst is located behind his left knee, where the presenter has ended up with a huge bruise. Reig was ironic that, in reality, he was “a hickey.”

The operation that Jesús Calleja will undergo will take place this Friday. He has explained that he must undergo surgery to “remove a tendon” from the place most affected by the fall, to later detail what the process will be like. “It’s a magical thing: they convert a tendon into a ligament, and then rehabilitation. We’ll laugh for a while and I’ll tell you,” he finished saying for the peace of mind of his followers.
