The synopsis says the following: “On September 21, 2013, Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra reported the disappearance of their daughter Asunta, whose body was found hours later next to a road on the outskirts of Santiago de Compostela. The police investigation soon reveals evidence that points to Rosario and Alfonso as possible perpetrators of the crime. The news shocks the entire city and even the country. Peña and Ulloa, as we said, play Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra, with Javier Gutiérrez in charge of the investigation into the disappearance and murder of Asunta, and María León, Carlos Blanco and Alicia Borrachero completing the cast.
The Asunta Case is produced by Bambú Producciones, who made a name for themselves on the television scene with dramas such as Gran Reserva, Gran Hotel, Velvet or Las Chicas del Cable, which earned critical prestige with Fariña and which already covered Asunta’s murder.
