Mediaset España is immersed in the preparation of the next television season and some of the big bets of the group are already known from next September. The gala held yesterday Thursday for Publiespaña, the corporation’s advertising matrix, has served to make two major premieres official for the coming year.
The return to television of Big Brother VIP emerged from the event, with what is already its eighth edition, and which will have an important novelty in its team: Marta Flich, regular presenter of Todo es mentira en Cuatro, will be in charge of put himself in charge of the format that will be produced once again by Zeppelin. But it also served to find out more details about the new Telecinco evening program, which will replace Sálvame from September and will be presented by Ana Rosa Quintana, leaving the morning after 18 years.
The new space will be called TardeAR, as confirmed exclusively by Vertele, and the presenter herself has anticipated what will be the contents that will be present in it. It will be an authentic television show in which both “current events” and “the show” will meet, Quintana advanced at the Publiespaña gala.
The format, as described by the communicator, reminded those present of Sabor a ti, a similar-style magazine that Ana Rosa led on Antena 3 between 1998 and 2004. What it does confirm is that “until now, it had never been done nothing like it on Telecinco”, according to the presenter in a forceful way. TardeAR, therefore, seeks to break with the model represented by programs such as its predecessor Sálvame.
The Publiespaña gala where the presentation of TardeAR took place had the slogan Always on the move, something Ana Rosa Quintana wanted to play with to explain how she is dealing with this new project. “For me, going away in the afternoon is a movement, it is a challenge that I am passionate about and that I really want,” she explained to the audience present.
As for the current state of the format, which will be produced by Ana Rosa herself in collaboration with Unicorn Content, it is in the pre-production phase and is already looking for a writing team as well as among those who will be its collaborators. For now, the set on which TardeAR will take place live every afternoon is unknown, but it could be the same studio where the Sálvame broadcasts take place and which would be renovated throughout the summer, since its summer substitute, Así es la life, will be made from another set.
