This was the baptism of Carlos, the first son of Carlos Fitz-James Stuart and Belén Corsini, the counts of Osorno

The counts of Osorno are celebrating. This Friday, May 24, Carlos Fitz-James Stuart and Belén Corsini celebrated the baptism of their first child together, Carlos, three months after his birth. The ceremony took place in the parish of San Marcos, one of the most popular religious enclaves in the Spanish capital.

After the religious ceremony, all those invited to the baptism will travel to the Liria Palace, where a very special celebration will take place in honor of the little one and his parents, who are also celebrating their first three years of marriage. All the relatives of the Counts of Osorno attended the ceremony to witness this very special occasion.

According to Vanitatis, the parents of the Duke of Alba’s first grandson had chosen Borja Corsini, brother of Belén Corsini, and Casilda Herrero de Solís, cousin of Carlos Fitz-James, as godparents. Furthermore, the family priest, Father Sánchez-Dalp, was in charge of making the ceremony official.

During the sacrament of baptism, the eldest son of the Counts of Osorno wore the family skirt of his grandfather, Carlos Fitz-James Stuart. A family heirloom that had been used by all the members of the House of Alba.

Among the guests at the celebration we were able to see many of the most famous faces of the family, such as Alfonso Díez, the husband of the late Duchess of Alba. Eugenia Martínez de Irujo was also present, who came very well accompanied by her husband, Narcís Rebollo, one of the senior officials of the Universal Music Spain record company.

Other family members who wanted to be present at the celebration were the children of Cayetano Martínez de Irujo and Genoveva Casanova, Luis and Amina, and Eugenia’s brother, Fernando Martínez de Irujo.

The brother of little Carlos’s father, Fernando Fitz-James Stuart Solís, has been another of the great guests. The Duke of Huéscar arrived at the Madrid parish in the company of his current wife, Sofía Palazuelo, but without the presence of his daughters.

The couple walked down the aisle in May 2021 after three years of dating. A wedding that took place at the Liria Palace in Madrid under the watchful eye of more than a hundred guests and was made official by the priest Ignacio Jiménez Sánchez-Dalp. Two years after their big day, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child in September 2023. Finally, the counts of Osorno welcomed little Carlos in March of this same year.
