Ana Blanco has concluded her working life at Spanish Television after more than three decades of dedication. This Saturday, February 24, Blanco said goodbye to the Informe Semanal audience, bringing forward her retirement to 63 years old – although she will no longer appear in front of the cameras, her retirement becomes effective on February 29 -.

The end of the program was marked by a sober farewell without fanfare, very much in line with the journalist. “For my part, this has been all, thank you very much for your trust and your company during all this time. Goodbye and good night,” were the words chosen by Blanco to close her last program.

Before this moment, Blanco had the opportunity to say goodbye to his colleagues on the network, a gesture that Televisión Española made public through its social networks. Blanco’s farewell took place amid applause and tears, a symbol of the affection and respect earned over the years.

The journalist, known for her discretion, has declined to offer interviews after her farewell, expressing her desire to enjoy a well-deserved rest and time with her family without wanting more prominence in the media.

Blanco, who has been a fundamental part of the return of Informe Semanal, announced his decision to take early retirement at the age of 63 unexpectedly, with the intention of dedicating himself to new facets of his personal life.

During her career at TVE, Blanco became an essential figure, especially in the News, until in 2022 when she assumed the role of presenter of the Weekly Report. This program, which celebrates its fiftieth anniversary in 2024, has been a benchmark in the network’s programming, with Blanco at the helm in its last two years. The next edition will be broadcast with a new presenter.
