Just a year ago, Rafa Nadal decided to start a business and opened his first hotel. To carry out this task, the professional tennis player decided to ally with the well-known hotel firm Meliá, with which he has created a partnership to open up to twenty tourist accommodations in different territories of our country and outside our borders. His hotels are registered under a brand that arises from this alliance: ZEL.
His first project materialized with the opening of ZEL Mallorca, a hotel that had previously been Meliá’s Inside Cala Blanca. The building can be found on Palmanova beach, in Calviá, to the west of the island. The entire part of the hotel that opened to the public last year was completely renovated to give it a modern touch and attract customers.
The success of this work was resounding and, after considering different options, the tennis player has decided to open a second ZEL hotel, this time on the Costa Brava. At the moment it is only known that this hotel will officially open on June 1 and that it is located in Cala Giverola, very close to Tossa de Mar. Among other things, this new destination stands out for a landscape that mixes rocks, beaches , cliffs, sand, vegetation…
According to what the newspaper ABC has published, the hotel will have 214 inhabitants available (among which there are different suites). All of these rooms have views of the beach, the mountains or the hotel’s well-kept gardens. Far from trying to create spaces full of visual noise or extravagances, Nadal and his team have worked very hard to decorate the facilities in a minimalist and warm way, but with a Mediterranean touch to make their visitors fall in love every time they stay at said hotel. .
In addition to comfortable bedrooms, guests who choose the Nadal hotel will be able to enjoy an incredible spa with a heated pool, sauna, solarium, Turkish bath and treatment cabins. They will also be able to train in a gym or play sports on their own in some of the rooms adapted for this task.
The hotel’s surroundings are also perfect for adrenaline and sports lovers. As advertised, you can do up to 46 sports activities in the area: water polo, trekking, yoga, soccer, all types of water sports, etc.
The Zel Costa Brava is located 33 kilometers from Gerona airport and 109 kilometers from Barcelona airport, so it could be said that it has a very good location to disconnect and rest for a few days from the routine.
As published by the aforementioned media outlet, spending a night at the ZEL Costa Brava varies depending on the type of room you choose, but starts at a base price of 240 euros.
Rafa Nadal is happy and content with his association with Meliá and how the business is working. Currently, the partners are actively working to open other hotels in Madrid, Dominican Republic, Mexico, etc.
