Twenty-five years have passed since the Azcona College opened its doors to welcome Quimi, Valle, César, Arancha, Luismi or Sara, the stars of Compañeros, the series that marked an entire generation. The actors have wanted to celebrate this very special date with a reunion in which the majority of the cast has participated: Daniel Retuerta, Eva Santolaria, Antonio Hortelano, Ruth Núñez, María Garralón or Julián González, among others.

On that very special date, fans have been able to see how the actors who gave life to their favorite characters have changed. The protagonists have also shared the joy of the reunion, uploading numerous photos to social networks. “25 years ago the Compañeros series began and yesterday we met more than 70 people: actors, scriptwriters, technical team…”, tweeted the scriptwriter and creator of the series Manuel Ríos, attaching a group photo.

Raúl Peña, who played PC in Compañeros, has also taken the opportunity to upload several selfies to his Instagram profile. In them, the students of the Azcona School are seen together again and in the happiest way, with smiles and hugs between the protagonists. “25 years later. Comrades”, writes the actor.

Eva Santolaria, who played the unforgettable Valle, has not hesitated to upload a photo of the reunion to her Instagram. In the image, we see another part of the cast of the series: Jorge Bosch, Virginia Rodriguez, Duna Jové or Manuel Feijóo.

Compañeros was a phenomenon of the nineties. The Antena 3 series reached impressive screen quotas, gathering up to 6,500,000 viewers in the chapter in which viewers lived in fear as the Azcona school was kidnapped. Its success was such that the film I will not fail you was even released, in addition to publishing a book in 2001.

Beyond the adventures, problems, loves and heartbreaks of students and teachers, the series became popular for its header ‘I will not fail you’, a song sung by Greta and the Garbos, which became a hymn for young people and entire families .
