Summer is the most common time to occupy vacation days, whenever possible. It is the period of the year where the main labor sectors take their break, after a busy course full of work and effort. That is what usually happens in the media, where the main television figures are replaced by lesser-known faces, preferably during July and August. And the case of Sonsoles Ónega could not be less.

The presenter of Y ahora Sonsoles, the Antena 3 afternoon magazine, celebrated its particular end of season last Friday, taking a summer break until September arrives. Since this past Monday, Rebeca Haro has taken her place in the main chair on the set, but the Madrid communicator had a farewell in style, with a heartfelt speech and applause from her team. However, there has been another detail that has attracted attention.

During his final words, the sound of exploding fireworks could be heard. A sound effect that accompanied what Ónega said, celebrating the success of the first season of the show. What is worth highlighting on this occasion is how these background firecrackers were made possible, because there were no real fireworks or the intervention of a computer. The official TikTok account of the program was in charge of revealing the mystery.

“This is how the special effects were made for the farewell to Sonsoles Ónega for the first season of YAS. He was going on vacation ”, read the letter that accompanied the images. A short clip, about thirty seconds long, in which two members of the behind-the-scenes team took care of the task. They executed it in a very simple way: with different whistles and bursting small balloons that they had in their hands, while they held back their laughter.

The video even shows a comparison of how the effect was noticeable on the screen, with the official plane that the program showed during the broadcast. The TikTok post has gained some notoriety, with more than 22,000 views and 273 likes. There were up to four different responses, which highlighted having seen similar behavior with children in schools, thus creating the equivalent of a large party.

“My children do the same,” commented one of the users who left a reaction. “At my girls’ school they put the entire patio full of balloons and they prick them and it looks like a Mascletá,” replied another user, along with the laughter and friendly faces of the other two reactions. In this way, Sonsoles Ónega leaves television parked for a few weeks, after successfully completing her first campaign in charge of her own program on the Atresmedia network.
