There is always a lack of strength in Survivors 2024. That is why it is important that the contestants do not exhaust them for no reason. However, during the last gala of the competition, a technical incident caused a futile effort for two of the contestants. Miri Pérez Cabrero and Arantxa del Sol spent eight minutes fighting intensely in a location game that, due to an initially undetected error, turned out to be useless.
The challenge consisted of each contestant, located at opposite ends of a large structure, pulling a rope. The objective was to exert enough force to make an ax fall on the opponent’s balloon.
During the test it was seen how Arantxa practically did not shoot while Miri made a lot of effort, but the result was the same for both. Throughout the test, even Jorge Javier Vázquez joked about the possibility that the structure was broken, a comment that was prescient.
Thus, in a video released later, it was seen that Laura Madrueño could have made a mistake by activating a lever that, instead of starting the mechanism, blocked it. This technical failure caused a technical tie declared by the organization. Furthermore, at the end of the test, the lever unlocked by itself and Madrueño, upon realizing it, put his hands to his head. But it was so fast that no one noticed and the organization did not communicate it either.
After this incident, the other rounds of the game were carried out without any type of setback in the dynamics, with Rubén Torres’ team achieving a victory that gave them access to Playa Olimpo.
This was not the only obstacle that Madrueño had to overcome, who had a particularly eventful gala. The presenter, right after, had to leave for a few minutes after suffering severe dizziness. She herself had warned that the temperatures were extremely high. Upon returning to the live show, she reassured everyone that she was recovered: “I’m fine, fighting again and little by little, I’ve only had dizziness due to the heat. Don’t worry, I’m better, especially for my family.”
