First Dates continues its television journey on Cuatro nights. The popular dating show hosted by Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners ready to fall in love for the first time or give love a new chance. However, not everyone who attends the program ends the night with the possibility of starting a beautiful love story.

One of the big events of the day was the one starring José Luis and Elena. The 57-year-old bachelor from Madrid arrived at the restaurant claiming to be a very nervous person and that the only thing that relaxed him was doing crafts. Shortly after, he said that he was a PVC window seller. However, the rarest items he had sold were dildos. ”I’m a selling machine,” he declared.

His date was Elena, a 55-year-old theater teacher from Madrid who claimed to be a disaster in love. ”Either I’m scary, or I don’t fit in with anyone,” she explained. As soon as she crossed the doors of the establishment, Elena was aware that her appointment was an earthquake. ”The first thing I thought was that it doesn’t fit me at all,” Elena said. But the bachelor, who was willing to surprise her date, gave Elena a handmade jewelry box as a gift. ”I liked it,” she said.

After exchanging their first words, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about the aspects they liked most about each other. ”You’re very nice, very nice and you have the spark that I like,” he commented. ”But you just met me,” she said, laughing.

Regarding his love history, José Luis said that he had been without a stable partner for some time. ”I have had relationships, but they have always deceived me, I have done it but politely,” he revealed. ”She needs to stabilize her life a little (…) I have not deceived anyone, neither with education nor without education,” she pointed out.

At one point during the evening, Elena confessed that she was happy that someone finally beat her to conversation. ”Many times I have had a complex because I can’t stop talking, but with you I have come in second place,” she said. Moments later, the man from Madrid said that his great passions were cinema, theater and history programs.

But what the single woman didn’t expect is that her date was going to confess his aversion to reading. ”I have never read a book. And I tell you more, I don’t know the alphabet, nor the Our Father,’ she assured, leaving the single woman completely shocked. In the final decision, the singles confessed that they had had a very fun evening, even though neither of them had felt the spark of love. ”You are a box of surprises,” said the single woman.
