More and more people are embarking on the fun adventure of finding love within the four walls of First Dates. The Cuatro television program team tries every night to ensure that its diners enjoy an unparalleled evening and meet the person of their dreams. Despite their efforts, not all singles who appear on the program achieve the final goal.

Two of the stars of the night were Lin and Iban. The 25-year-old Catalan single woman arrived at the restaurant claiming to be a very mature person for her age. In addition, Lin, who was of Chinese origin, revealed that her parents had to emigrate to Spain for work and it was there where they met: “They got married and had me.”

In love, he had not been particularly lucky, since he had gone through a very intense relationship, where he lost himself. ”I let myself be absorbed by the relationship and I lost myself. Now I’m trying to figure out what I might like. “I have been born again,” she said. Her date was Iban, a 33-year-old single from Murcia who considered himself a close, sensitive and affectionate person. ”They have always told me that I have a girl inside,” he said.

The first impression among the singles was quite mixed. ”The girl is spectacular. You think about what the girl will be like, but you never imagine that she could have those exotic features,’ commented the bachelor. However, the single woman had a very different opinion: ”It’s the complete opposite of my prototype.” After knowing their ages and places of residence, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about the origins of the single woman.

”Would you see a person like me? Inside I’m Spanish, but outside I’m Chinese,” commented the single woman. ”I have no problem with your exotic features. You can rest assured, I eat sushi, I have no problem,” he assured. ”Sushi is Japanese food,” Lin replied, who could not believe her words. ”In the end it offends me that they say it so many times. That’s culture. Sushi is Japanese food, it is not Chinese,’ she said.

At one point during the evening, the singles were discussing the age difference in relationships. Iban said that all of his partners had been younger than him because it was in many ways “something childish.” ”I didn’t like it, I want a mature man,” she asserted.

”I think you shouldn’t lose the child you have inside, that illusion,” the bachelor explained. ”That’s Peter Pan syndrome,” she replied. ”I’m mature, but in many ways I’m a child,” added the bachelor, who in turn confessed that he wanted to start a family.

In the final stretch of the evening, Iban continued to show his interest in the single woman. However, Lin, who had not been attracted to him, was clear about her rejection. Therefore, in the final decision, the single woman chose to leave the restaurant alone rather than have a second meeting with Iban.
