The succulent offer that María del Monte has rejected for going on television to talk about her nephew

Antonio Tejado has been in provisional prison since February 12 after being accused of belonging to a criminal gang that was dedicated to theft of homes in the province of Seville and of being the mastermind behind the robbery with violence suffered by his own aunt, María. del Monte, at his home last August.

A couple of weeks ago, it came to light that the defense of the former television collaborator had requested provisional release, alleging that “there were not sufficient reasons to keep him in prison.” However, the judge decided to reject the request this past Friday, April 5, after the private prosecution, exercised by the singer, and the Prosecutor’s Office opposed provisional release.

Since then, the singer has barely spoken about her nephew’s judicial situation, beyond ensuring that she fully trusts in justice. Furthermore, on March 15, Antonio Tejado testified before the judge in the investigating court number 16 in Seville about the so-called ‘Abgena operation’.

A first contact in which the former Big Brother VIP contestant wanted to defend his innocence again. ”I don’t understand why I’m in jail. I have nothing to do with it. I’m innocent. I have never talked about my aunt’s house. I am convinced that my aunt knows that I have nothing to do with it,” Tejado declared last March.

These words did not sit well with the singer, so she decided to permanently break ties with her nephew. ”After her statement, María del Monte considers her relationship with her nephew broken. Neither María nor her partner believes anything about the statement,’ they said on Ana Rosa Quintana’s program.

Now, almost a month after Antonio Tejado’s first statement before the judge, it has come to light that María del Monte had rejected a succulent television offer to talk about her nephew’s case. ”There is another offer they have made to María del Monte, it would be 100,000 euros to sit on a set and tell her story. Today, María has said that she is not,’ journalist Miquel Valls revealed in Espejo Público. Furthermore, the journalist claimed that the offer had also reached Antonio Tejado’s family.

”Antonio Tejado’s representative has contacted the mother and brother. There is a firm offer for them to speak on television, an offer that exceeds 60,000 euros. Antonio’s family has forwarded this to Antonio’s representative so that she can contact the lawyer to find out whether or not this may harm the judicial process that is still open,’ she said.
