Belén Esteban suffered a fall on April 25, 2022 during the broadcast of Sálvame that caused her a complicated fracture of the tibia and fibula. During a dynamic test in which she had to hang in the air holding on to a bar with her hands, she fell badly from a considerable height.
The television collaborator has had to undergo surgery on several occasions and has not yet finished recovering. As she revealed a few days ago in the pages of Semana magazine, Esteban will have to go through the operating room again to be operated on again for a tendon that she has not managed to recompose correctly.
“I’m much better, every day I go to rehabilitation and it’s doing me a lot of good. The only problem is that I’m going to have to go through the operating room again because they have to operate on two fingers because of the big fracture I got The tendon has gotten caught in my fingers and I have them bent,” said Andrea Janeiro’s mother.
Due to the age of the patient, the doctors advise that she undergo surgery to recover as much mobility as possible, and Belén is determined to go all the way for a good recovery. “In the end, being 49 years old, they believe that I am a young person who if I do not do this I may have osteoarthritis. I have to listen to my doctor,” she added about the new operation.
That ill-fated moment on April 25th has greatly affected Belén’s life. Now she can’t wear heels, she can’t drive, but possibly what that fall has affected her the most has been her spirits. To overcome these difficult moments, Esteban goes to a psychologist. “It is true that when the leg thing happened to me, it was not that I had depression, but I did have constant sadness, but now I am much better,” he confessed.
