Cuatro’s First Dates program is the unintentional protagonist of surreal moments. Being a space where you can meet future couples and have a fun time, it can lead to unexpected clashes or clashes. Unusual attitudes, embarrassing scenes, offensive stereotypes and excuses of all kinds. However, the situation that became known this morning, involving one of its participants, is much murkier.

A man who called himself the Seer Monk, presenting himself as “a clairvoyant, medium, hypnologist and black magic witch”; He is wanted and captured by the Civil Guard, accused of being the leader of a celebrity extortion network. According to the investigations, the suspect pulled strings among high figures in Valencian society to arrange sexual encounters with minors, without them knowing his true age.

The Civil Guard has indicated that the 50-year-old man captured the minors “moving around in their environment and gaining their trust.” Once the meetings had taken place, the leader and other members of the organization began a process of blackmail. They demanded large sums of money and threatened famous figures with publishing compromising photographs, in addition to the intention of denouncing them for sexual abuse of minors.

The case came to the fore in October 2022, when the home of Valencian couturier Francis Montesinos was attacked in the town of Llíria. Last May, the designer was arrested for an alleged crime against the sexual freedom of minors. It was at that moment that it was decided to open a second line of investigation into possible extortion, which ended up with the presence of the Seer Monk of First Dates in the matter.

Another of those investigated for possible crimes of abuse is Tono Sanmartín, a well-known hairdresser of the Valencian bourgeoisie. The stylist went yesterday Wednesday to testify at the Valencia Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office, assuring upon his departure that he wanted clarification to know who was responsible for the events. “There are more than five very famous victims. There are people who have paid. I don’t know the money, but they asked for the gold and the Moor,” he explained before the À Punt microphones.

The investigations by the Civil Guard do not indicate specific amounts, but it is known that the blackmailers reduced their financial claims to obtain part of the payment. Although in some cases there is talk of requests for up to half a million euros from some of the victims, it is known that for Francis Montesinos they lowered the figure to 10,000 euros. The objective of this subscription was to prevent the dissemination of an alleged video in which he would appear with a minor.
