Mediaset España continues immersed in its comprehensive renovation, which began a year ago after the departure of Paolo Vasile as CEO of the communication group. The changes have been especially noticeable in the Telecinco grid, which underwent a major facelift with the start of the television season, and which will continue in 2024 with its new news programs.

The retirement of Pedro Piqueras and his replacement by Carlos Franganillo, from TVE, has served as an excuse to renew the set of Informativos Telecinco after 17 years and make moves between its most iconic faces. Thus, Ángeles Blanco and Isabel Jiménez will captain the midday edition from Monday to Friday, while David Cantero moves on to the weekend with José Ribagorda and Leticia Iglesias.

In parallel to this renewal, a few months ago it became known that Mediaset was studying the recovery of Noticias Cuatro, the news services of its second network, for 2024 and five years after its cancellation. It was in February 2019 when the communication group closed the space and replaced it with the magazine Cuatro a día.

That return is already a reality and both the date on which it could occur and the presenters who will be part of it have been known. According to information published by Confidencial Digital, citing sources linked to Mediaset, details are being finalized and Noticias Cuatro would return to the screens in the week of January 15.

As usual, Noticias Cuatro will have three different editions: at noon, at night and on weekends. For the latter, it is expected that the duo formed by Roberto Arce and Marta Reyero will repeat, which has already presented such an edition for several seasons and has continued since 2019 on Cuatro al día weekend.

Other names that are already closed, according to Confidencial Digital, are those of Diego Losada, who left En boca de todos a few weeks ago to undertake “a new project at Mediaset”; Alba Lago, who has previously accompanied Pedro Piqueras on Informativos Telecinco; or Mónica Sanz, who also returns to Noticias Cuatro after being part of Cuatro al día.
